Moorhead Area Public Schools is conducting a six month planning process to assess the current status of the school district and to develop a strategic plan for the district’s future.
During the past few years, the Moorhead School District has seen many changes, including significant building projects and the implementation of major educational enhancements. As part of strategic planning, the School Board and district administration need to hear the voice of the community to help set district direction and goals.
Why Strategic Planning?
It has been stated that, “Those who fail to plan, plan to fail.” Moorhead Area Public Schools has a long history and tradition of planning in a strategic fashion. We see the impacts of effective planning in the quality found across the district. However, this quality is dependent upon continuous improvement. The context within which we deliver quality education is dynamic. Thus the need to regularly evaluate where we are, where we have been and where we would like to be. This strategic planning process will provide the required intentional focus across the district to continue the effort toward quality.
Community Involvement
Community members shared their input and participated in strategic planning feedback by completing an online survey and attending focus group sessions. Thank you for your participation. A Strategic Planning Committee is currently compiling and analyzing the results as a foundation for the strategic plan.
