June 4, 2017

The Moorhead High School Class of 2017 graduated June 4 during commencement at Minnesota State University Moorhead’s Nemzek Hall.

The Wind Ensemble under the direction of Pam Redlinger performed before playing the processional “Pomp and Circumstance.”

Opening remarks were made by Alex Dougherty and Stephanie Hauf. Class speakers were Megan DuChene and Linka Wintersteen.

The Chorale under the direction of Kathie Brekke sang “In My Life” by John Lennon and Paul McCartney arr. Steve Zegree.

Following the slide show, Dave Lawrence, principal, presented the class for graduation, and the seniors received their diplomas from members of the Moorhead School Board. Lawrence reminded the graduates that “once a Spud, always a Spud.”

Closing remarks were made by Kara Werth before the Class of 2017 was dismissed.
