District taking applications through Feb. 1 for High School Conceptual Design Task Force
January 15, 2019
Later this month, the district’s High School Facilities Task Force will make a recommendation related to high school facilities to the Moorhead School Board. Following action by the School Board, a new task force will meet to review conceptual design details.
Applications are now being taken for the High School Conceptual Design Task Force, which will meet from 5:30-7 p.m. Feb. 20, March 27 and April 10. Applications are being accepted online through Friday, Feb. 1, from community members interested in serving on this task force. Applicants should ensure they are able to attend all three task force meetings before applying.
The task force will include representation from stakeholder groups in the community. Applications may be submitted at https://goo.gl/forms/WVasN1nQsnYEZ6tA3 or contact the Superintendent’s Office at 218-284-3330 for a paper copy of the application.
As part of the second phase of the district’s Facilities Master Plan, the High School Facilities Task Force was formed in August and has been meeting this school year to make a recommendation to the School Board about high school facilities.
The work by the facilities task force this school year follows that of the community task force that worked on Designing Moorhead High School’s 21st Century Academic/Instructional Program during 2016 and 2017. The plan calls for implementing recommendations pertaining to the academic and instruction program, portrait of a graduate, and facilities.
