Moorhead High football team falls to Delano

September 18, 2019

During the Sept. 13 football game against Delano, Moorhead High’s Parker Buckner (63) blocks for Keenan Wendt (28) who carries the ball. Alexander Pahl (62) and Jonny Franklin (6) add blocking coverage on the play.

Wendt had 13 carries to total 80 yards during the home game, which was an offensive battle for the Spuds. The Spuds led the game well into the fourth quarter when Delano pushed ahead to win 40-34.

The Spuds fall to 1-2 for the season. They play the Warriors in Brainerd at 7 p.m. Sept. 20 before returning home for the homecoming game on Sept. 27.
