Horizon Middle School East Campus
Students in grades 7-8 at Horizon East experience enhanced educational programming and many opportunities for learning and development in a state-of-the-art school designed with small learning communities. By working together, parents and school staff can provide a quality educational experience for the students.

Dorothy Dodds Elementary
Dodds Elementary School focuses on learning by using a results-oriented curriculum and instruction and by creating a culture of respect, acceptance and support for students in partnership with parents. Dodds Elementary is located in east Moorhead and has approximately 750 students in grades K-4.

Ellen Hopkins Elementary
Hopkins Elementary School hosts a vibrant, multicultural community dedicated to meeting the needs of students through a structured curriculum and a variety of programs. It is our belief that education is a shared responsibility of our students, parents and staff working together. Hopkins Elementary is located in central Moorhead and has approximately 750 students in grades K-4 in both an English program and a Spanish Immersion Program (SI).

Robert Asp Elementary
Robert Asp Elementary students have high expectations with support from a strong staff that is committed to lifelong learning and improvement themselves. We believe in the power of written language and the development of students who are high-level thinkers and learners. Robert Asp is located in north Moorhead and has 750 students in grades K-4.

S.G. Reinertsen Elementary
At Reinertsen Elementary, we ensure learning by using a results-oriented curriculum and instruction, by creating a culture of respect, acceptance and support for students in partnership with parents, and by establishing a professional learning community for staff that includes common goals and collaborative teams. Reinertsen Elementary in south Moorhead has an enrollment of 750 students in grades K-4.

Early Childhood Family Education
ECFE is a program for every family with young children birth to kindergarten entry offered by Community Education, a program of Moorhead Area Public Schools. Families from Moorhead, Fargo, West Fargo and the surrounding areas are all welcome to attend ECFE classes.

Early Intervention Services
In partnership with families and the community, Early Intervention Services (EIS), which is located at Probstfield Center for Education, provides special education services at no cost to approximately 250 children in the Moorhead Area Public Schools ages birth to age of school entry. Licensed teachers, speech pathologists, occupational therapists and physical therapists respond to referrals to EIS with support to answer questions parents have about their child's development. EIS provides developmental assessments as needed and offers services upon meeting Minnesota special education entrance requirements. Professionals strive to provide services in settings with other children of similar ages.

Early Learning Center
Jump Start Preschool, a School Readiness program of Moorhead Area Public Schools, offers age-appropriate activities, curriculum and assessment for approximately 240 3-, 4-, and 5-year-old children living in the school district. Jump Start classes also include circle time, snack, art, gym and learning centers. This is a collaborative venture with Early Intervention Services. Children working on special areas of development will participate with typically developing peers. Licensed early childhood teachers are supported by classroom assistants and Early Intervention Services teachers. The district's Jump Start Preschool has the highest four-star rating from Parent Aware, a rating tool designed to help parents find child care and early education providers committed to school readiness.

Adult Basic Education
Adult Basic Education, a program of Moorhead Community Education, offers day, evening and online learning classes for anyone age 16 or older who is not presently enrolled in a secondary school and whose educational skills are below the 12th grade level in any of the basic academic areas of reading, math, writing or speaking English.

Community Education
Community Education is well-known for its large selection of adult enrichment classes offered through three annual catalogs. Community Education offers several other programs, including Early Childhood Family Education, Adult Basic Education, programs for adults with disabilities, summer camps and service learning.

Moorhead Alternative Learning Center
Moorhead ALC's vision is to partner with participating schools to assure that a continuum of programs and services are available to meet the unique needs of each student at-risk in the learning process. Since 1997 the Red River ALC has provided services to more than 3,000 students, K-12.
