Community Education is well-known for its large selection of adult enrichment classes offered through three annual catalogs. Community Education offers several other programs, including Early Childhood Family Education, programs for adults with disabilities, summer camps and service learning.

Red River Area Learning Center

Red River Area Learning Center

Red River Area Learning Center offers year-round options for K-12 students in regular education settings and separate sites, including after-school, independent study and seat-based programs. Red River ALC options are designed for students from Moorhead Area Public Schools and surrounding Minnesota communities who need non-traditional options and support.

Adult Basic Education

Adult Basic Education

Adult Basic Education offers day and evening classes for adults who haven't finished high school or need to learn English. Preparation classes for those who want to obtain their General Educational Diploma are offered.

Other Alternative Options

The Outreach Day Treatment Program provides services for students with mental health needs.

The West Central Academy has both a secure facility and a non-secure care program for juveniles with behavioral, protection, dependency and delinquency issues. Moorhead Area Public Schools provides year-round educational services to students who are residing in the facility.
