About the Movement
Moorhead Area Public Schools and the district’s Safe and Healthy Learners Committee have adopted the Choose Orange campaign to galvanize district efforts to prevent bullying and support the work of PACER's National Bullying Prevention Center .
Fifty years ago, people were influenced in the same way they are today, but the order of significance has dramatically changed for our youth.

From Put Downs to Lock Downs: Danya Perry
According to many experts, today students have the ability to be constantly connected to their peers through the use of technology and social media. Research suggests this instant communication is one of the primary influencers on our children and is directly related to the unprecedented levels of bullying being reported throughout the country.
It's time for us to Choose Orange and challenge the influence shift being experienced by the youth within our community.

Three Horizon Middle School students created this video (set to music by Taylor Swift) to bring attention to the impact of bullying. The students did this work independently — not as a school project or assignment, but as a way to raise awareness about the harmful effects of bullying and the importance of acceptance of all students.
